In our family we have a numbers game. Today is March 13 or 3.13. To us this is a love gate and we say I love you.
Jyoti means light. She is the Hindu goddess of light and the "Vel" (Parvati's divine shakti spear). The daughter of Shiva, static consciousness, and Goddess Parvati, the Divine Mother, creative kinetic energy, Jyoti (spark of light) represents the elements of Air and Space. Her brother Ganesh (sound) is associated with the elements of Earth and Water.
Skanda (light), also her brother, the Lord of War, is the element of Fire. Goddess Jyoti represents the Ultimate Reality (Brahman) that illuminates our minds and gives form to the world of creation. She represents the female principle of light because she is active in creation. Humanitarian service and reverence for all forms of life are the hallmarks of Jyoti devotion.
In tantric tradition, Jyoti is the aroused kundalini shakti (latent energy) that resides in the Ajna chakra, the third eye psychic center between the eyebrows. Jyoti is experienced as light in deep meditation. She is the light of knowledge that dispels the darkness of ignorance. Her radiance and luminosity are present in all beings as the light of consciousness. Jyoti is the inner light. Her mantra is:
Om Shreem Hreem Kreem Kleem Jyotiswariyayai Namaha
All mythology attempts to explain subtle realities. Energy is all there is. Period. Jyoti is the awakened inner consciousness of the energy we ultimately are. You are a star bound to a body. The ancient hindus named this energy Jyoti. Devotion to Jyoti aims to secure God's blessings to acquire intelligence and wisdom (jñana), attain love for all living beings and secure divine guidance for spiritual progress leading to spiritual liberation (jivanmukti). When we meditate upon our inner light we tend to our inner fire.
As a conscious living being, there are many energies we can call upon at any time at will. Anger, sadness, joy, love, compassion, anxiety, depression, gratitude, separation connection...all of these are thoughts and emotions we all have access to. These are also various aspects of energy. Our ancestors gave these energies names in order to facilitate a dialogue between student and teacher. So, there is nothing to fear when I speak of Goddess Jyoti. This is an energetic vibrational frequency that all living beings have access to at will. It is a state of being. Brilliance is a potential within all beings.
Jesus Christ said, "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." I am grateful for the grace of Christ for I have seen the light with my own eyes. There is nothing like the peace of truth. Siddhartha Gautama received the title of the Buddha because he was the enlightened one. I am grateful for the integrity of the Buddha and his commitment to knowing the truth, directly, for himself. There is nothing like the purifying fire of truth burning brightly within you.
What is the predominant vibrational frequency in your energetic field?
Om Namah Shivaya,
